For reflection

What do I feel is my special message to deliver to the world? My reason for being alive in a nutshell. To work out how to let yourself deliver your special message, during Advent this year pay particular attention to:
1.       listening to God
E.g. notice in spiritual reading, which words of Scripture~ (or in poetry, e.t.c.) are speaking to you.In the silence in your prayers before God, listen to your intuition of what God is saying lovingly back to you. Notice which of your daily attitudes and activities increase in you a sense of faith, hope and love in you (lift your heart) and which deaden you, constrict your heart.Notice what God is saying to you through other people, and things that happen to you at some point each day.
2.       listening to one another:
Pay attention to others in the Chapel, and notice their gifts in many different areas.Notice, affirm and celebrate how others are joining in with God in areas of paid work as they earn a living; in families. and extended families; in voluntary activities; in study of faith stories; in pray; in building a sense of community in Overton; in working for compassion and justice; in sharing themselves and their passions.
3.       listening to Overton Community:
Notice what God is already doing in the wider community of Overton through all sorts of people, activities and institutions and be alert to how you can join in with God and make a difference.
Share your reflections with others, so that we can begin to talk about what God is doing among us
